Student Affairs

The out of class experience.

At SUNY New Paltz I was the prototypical student leader, leading to a career in student affairs. I fluctuated between residence life, student activities, and fraternity / sorority life. After ten years in the South and Midwest, I had grown into an assistant dean role (director supervising a director) at St. John's University where I managed a large professional staff, graduate assistants, and countless student workers. I have worked with all types of organizations and consider myself to be a true ally; i.e. LGBTQ, disabilities. I excel at finding common ground between students and groups by creating what I call “colorful space.” During my time in Indiana, I was also the assistant executive director for the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. I continue to support student life initiatives by hosting the annual fraternity and sorority retreat and advising student organizations.
