From day one at St. Joe's, I was working on articulation agreements with LaGuardia Community College and Kingsborough Community College. I also helped create an MOU with the Department of Education to serve more than a dozen CTE high schools. Most importantly I have developed solid relationships with colleagues at 2yr colleges and high schools throughout the metropolitan area. I do this by identifying their needs, then building programming around them. I sit on four high school advisory boards, the Culinary, Hospitality and Tourism Commission for the DOE, and the NAF advisory board. As the landscape for funding allocations and distance learning shifts, there will be more and more opportunities to forge alliances. More than opportunities, these will be vital to growth and survival for most institutions.
